Write Your First Novel
In association with the Lighthouse Writers Workshop, One Book, One Denver presents a talk by Nick Arvin about the process of writing his award-winning first novel. He discusses inspiration, writing methods, and answers questions from workshop attendees.

Reading Event
Recorded at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, this event features a reading by Nick Arvin, a discussion of his novel, Articles of War, and a Q&A with readers.

World War II Panel Discussion
This panel, presented by The Colorado Endowment for the Humanities and Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, features World War II veterans and American history scholars in a discussion inspired by the 2007 One Book, One Denver selection, Articles of War. Panelists include World War II veteran Edward W. Wood, Jr., author of Worshipping the Myths of World War II: Reflections on America's Dedication to War and Nathan Matlock, military historian and Archivist and Administrator of the Regis University Center for the Study of War Experience.

Manual High School Event
The final 2007 One Book, One Denver event, held at Denver's Manual High School, features a dramatic reading by Nick Arvin accompanied by guitarist Roger Green, who composed an original piece for the One Book, One Denver program. This event also features an introduction by Denver Poet Laureate Chris Ransick.
